November 27, 2008 by rockitguitarsJohnny Bulldog – CCR
September 21, 2008 by rockitguitarsMost recently, we hooked up with Creedence Clearwater. They sure know how to kick it up. Doug Clifford and Stu Cook (Original founding members) along with John Tristao, Tal Morris and Steve Gunner are as authentic as it gets. Totally professional and perfectionists about what they do and what they play is a true testament to their longevity. I spent a fair amount of time with John Tristao, a larger than life caricature who is as real and intense on stage as he is off. From the moment I pulled the Rockit Guitar from the case, there was no getting it back. The Rockit went to the stage and was played the entire show. Rockit Guitars is now building John his own! Welcome to the Rockit Family John!
The Vincent Rockit
September 21, 2008 by rockitguitarsOne of my biggest pleasures is delivering a Rockit Guitar to a customer in person. Watching their faces with the reality of seeing and touching it for the first time is beyond words. On occassion we recieve an order that has a special meaning. Hank lost one of his best friends who was a collector and restorer of antique and classic motorcycles as well as a guitar player. As a tribute he ordered a Rockit themed around the 1950 British made Vincent which he took possession of after his friends death. The Vincent was most notable as the worlds fastest motorcycle in its day. Determined to meet up, our schedules delayed delivery with several near misses until Sept. 19th when we finally met in Abbotsford BC Canada. It was great to finally meet Hank and deliver his tribute guitar.

110 Watts of Pure Soldano!
September 21, 2007 by rockitguitarsThe 110 V-Twin Rocket – the ultimate match for the Rockit guitar! This all tube amplifier, custom built exclusively for Rockit Guitars by Soldano Custom Amplification, is designed to enhance the amazing tonal versatility of the Rockit. Two fully independent preamp sections provide a full range of sounds from mild to wild! The Cruizin Clean channel is voiced to create classic “vintage” clean tones – round, warm, and clear. The Bright switch boosts the top end for extra shimmer and sparkle. The Bass, Middle, and Treble controls allow you to dial in your tone just the way you like it. The Reverb knob dials in the tube driven three spring reverb for just the right amount of twang – from just a touch of slap to full blown surf splash.
Stepping on the footswitch and lighting up the LED really gets this amp reved up as it engages the Full Throttle channel. This channel is not for the weak of heart! The Gain knob dials in the overdrive – lower settings give a tight, punchy crunch, while cranking it to 11.5 delivers a sonic blast of rich harmonic distortion and virtually endless sustian. Tone is shaped with the Bass, Middle, and Treble controls. Reverb comes in with the twist of the knob. The Master Volume allows you to experience these amazing high gain tones at any volume. The Presence control works as an overall treble boost in the power amp section and helps when you need to cut through the mix. Power comes from four Sovtek 5881 power tubes. The Full Throttle / Half Throttle switch on the rear panel allows you to shutdown two of the power tubes for half power operation. The preamp creates your tone with one JJ/Tesla ECC83 and five Sovtek 12AX7LP tubes. Each VTR 110 amplifier is handbuilt from start to finish by one highly skilled technician at the Soldano shop in Seattle, Washington – no assembly line here, folks!
All components are extra heavy duty and are housed in a powdercoated, fully welded, 16 gauge cold rolled steel chassis. The cabinet of the V-Twin Rockit is constructed from 13 ply Baltic birch plywood and covered with genuine Naugahyde brand silver sparkle vinyl. Two 12″ Eminence Legend 30 speakers push the tone through rich oxblood colored grille cloth. Four plug-in casters make load in a snap.
Dimensions: 23″ H x 26″ W x 10.5″ DWeight: 78 lbs.
